Your brand new Famly account might appear a little empty at first, but not to worry! As soon as you start entering your information in, those overviews and reports will begin to populate.
Here is a section-by-section look at what info you'll need to enter in order to get the most out of your tools on Famly. Click on the titles to find out more!
Add Children, Add Rooms, Add Contacts
Once you have added your children, rooms, and contacts, you will be able to send messages out to groups of parents from the News Feed.
Add Children, Add Rooms, Add Staff
Your children will appear in the rooms in the Overview and you can click on them to sign them in and out, log an activity or observation, or view their profile.
Once you have added bookings, the Overview will separate by tabs the children expected from the children not expected that day.
Once you have added your children, each will have their own profile to build and update. Either you or your parents (once you have invited them) can enter in the child’s details such as allergies,
Once your children are added, you may immediately begin to sign them in and out of the nursery, those times are recorded on their profile and the Attendance Report.
Add Children, Add Contact/Bill Payer, Add Bookings
Once you add session bookings for your children, you will be able to send out a batch of invoices from the Revenue and Debt App. Once this is sent, you will see outstanding balances populated on the Debt and Invoicing screen and Revenue on the Revenue screen.
Add Children, Add Baseline Assessment, Add Observations
The Baseline Assessment must be added from the Journey tab on the child’s profile (the first assessment defaults to the baseline). Observations may be added from the News Feed, the Nursery Overview, or the Child Profile.
Add Children, Add Accident/Incident Reports
Accident Reports may be added from the Safeguarding App or from the Reports Tab on the Child Profile
You may input your meals directly into the Meal Plans App. They will populate in the Overview when logging meals.

You may begin to add your nursery policies and permissions straight into the app. These show up to the parents as permissions pending their acknowledgement. Once you have added children and rooms, however, you can choose to differentiate which permissions go out to whom.

This is a storage app for your documents, folders, templates, etc. You can begin to upload your documentation straight into the app.

Once you’ve added your children and parents, you can send out requests for their holiday plans.

Once you have added your sessions and bookings for your children, your Room Planning App will populate with a register of who is expected and when.

You may begin input enquiry information directly into the app. You may also use the website form to collect it from parents who visit your website.

You may begin to create and use activities from the activity library as soon as you wish. Save these activities and use them in the News Feed or soon-to-be released Activity Planning App.
Add Children, Add Invoicing Profile, Add Sessions, Add Funding
Once you have added your attendance schedule and session offerings, go to the Bookings App and click on a child to add a weekly plan or an ad hoc booking. Add your funding and you will be able to take funded hours off of the child’s schedule.

You may begin to create lists and reports out of the info you are entering onto child and staff profiles, such as an allergy report, or sun cream permission list.

Once you have entered the rooms and bookings for your children, you will be able to see how filled our rooms are and how many spaces you have available by viewing the Occupancy Planner.
Add Children, Use sign in/out
Once you begin signing children in and out, either from the Overview or the Sign In/Out Screen, your children’s attendance times, as well as sick days and holidays, will be recorded here.

Once you have added your children and staff and invited your parents to join you on Famly, you will be able to view who has logged on, who is active, and who may have an incorrect email.

If you would like to opt into Famly Pay, you can enter your bank information in the Setup Screen and have your parents enter their bank and/or card information and if they choose, complete a direct debit mandate from their app.
